Dr.Michel Thao Chan

Dr. Thao Chan, a native of Vientiane, Laos, is a naturalized French citizen and currently resides in Paris.  After attending high school in Vientiane, he pursued studies predominantly in the sciences and management and subsequently received five doctorate degrees—PhD in Business Administration (Finance), International School of Management (Paris / New York); PhD in Metaphysics Sciences (US); PhD in Clinical Hypnotherapy, American Institute of Hypnotherapy (US); PhD in Physics, University of Technology of Compiègne (France); PhD in Bioengineering, University of Technology of Compiegne (France). 

Dr. Chan is a Researcher, Professor, Entrepreneur and International Consultant.  He started his professional career in 1979 as a manager of the Microcirculation Department at the University of Technology of Compiègne where he served in this capacity until 1982.  From 1982 to 1988, he led the Clinical Biology Antenna Marketing Department at Hoechst Laboratories (now Sanofi-Aventis) in France.  During this time and into the late 1990s, he served as visiting professor at Columbia University in New York, biophysics expert in vascular diseases and General Secretary of the ‘Société Française d'Hémorhéologie Clinique', editor of “Revista Portuguesa de Hemorreogia”, lecturer on international negotiations at the International Commerce Institute in Paris, and Associate Professor of Management at the Faculty of Laws and Economics in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.   

Between 1998 and 2002, Dr. Chan managed the technology transfer team for TMC Development and Gene companies.  He later became the Deputy General Manager of NautiluBiotech and at the same time maintained his consulting firm, HealthValue, which he started in 2004.  By 2005, Dr. Chan joined Securitas Systems in France - one of the world’s leading security groups.
Dr. Michel Thao Chan is a prolific writer. He has published three books and written more than 50 articles in the science and management fields.  He has also produced a film on art and medicine called “ Le Language des Formes ”.

In 1994, Dr. Chan co-founded the Cercle de Réflexion des Nations (CRN) and became its President in January 2000.
Dr. Chan is married and the father of one son.
